Terms of Use
This is a plain-language summary: you get a licence to use the app on your devices. You cannot copy or resell it. Mono Pro auto-renews annually — cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged. The app is provided as-is; we are not liable for indirect damages.

1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Mono ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Paras Vishwakarma ("Developer", "we", "us").
If you are under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the EU), you may not use the App.
2. Licence grant
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
On iOS, this licence is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple EULA), which is incorporated here by reference.
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the App or any part of it
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove or alter any copyright or other proprietary notices
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to extract the source code except to the extent permitted by applicable law
4. Mono Pro subscription
What is included: Mono Pro unlocks focus audio (brown noise, rain, lo-fi), strict mode PIN, and scheduled deep work sessions. Additional Pro features may be added in future updates at no extra charge.
Free trial: Mono Pro includes a 30-day free trial for new subscribers. No charge is made during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and your payment method is charged at the applicable annual rate. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial period using the instructions below. Unused trial time is forfeited if a paid subscription is started during the trial.
Price after trial: $3.49 per year (USD) or ₹179 per year (India), billed annually. Prices in other regions are set by the relevant app store and displayed at checkout before purchase.
Auto-renewal: Mono Pro is an auto-renewable subscription. After the initial annual period, it renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
How to cancel:
- iOS: Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions → Mono → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Mono → Cancel
Payment: Billing is processed by Apple or Google through your store account. We do not handle payment details. Your account will be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. We do not issue refunds directly.
Confirmation of trial terms: By starting a Mono Pro free trial, you acknowledge that your payment method will be charged the annual subscription price at the end of the 30-day trial period unless cancelled in advance.
5. Free tier
The core features of Mono (Deep Work mode, app blocking, Pomodoro timer, DND control, grayscale, notification digest, stats, productivity dice) are free and will remain free. There is no time limit on the free tier.
6. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Paras Vishwakarma and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE APP OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR $5 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your licence at any time if you breach these Terms. On termination, you must delete all copies of the App. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction where mandatory consumer protection laws apply (EU, UK, Australia, etc.), those laws are not displaced by this clause.
11. Apple-specific terms (App Store)
If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply as required by Apple:
- These Terms are between you and us, not between you and Apple. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- Apple has no warranty obligations with respect to the App. Any warranty claims must be directed to us.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability, consumer protection, or intellectual property infringement.
- Your use of the App must comply with the App Store Terms of Service.
12. Google-specific terms (Play Store)
If you obtained the App through the Google Play Store, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Google's terms, Google's terms prevail to the extent of the conflict.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you by updating the effective date and, for material changes, by posting a notice in the app's release notes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
